Several hunting, fishing, boating and outdoor recreation organizations have been contacted, are to be contacted and/or are actively interested in our issues and concerns regarding Lake Texoma. Local and regional citizens have indicated interest in our group as a coordinating organization focused on Lake Texoma issues. This will enable us to work with the other state and national organizations.

We are contacting several of these organizations and request your help in identifying the issues and asking for assistance from any organization to which you belong. If we don’t have your organization on the web site and you think it’s oriented on outdoor recreation and is appropriate to add, let us know.

The Texas State Rifle Association recently stated” Stop cities from practicing the hostile annexation of hunting lands – which limits our hunting areas. Many cities are gobbling up more and more of our hunting acreage, forcing us to hunt elsewhere. So, we are pushing to have appropriate hunting areas remain available to hunters.” This is also true for federal land where hunting is permitted.

The following organizations represent the outdoor recreational interests usually indicated in their titles. Additional information can be obtained on their web sites if available here or through online search.
